/// Wood Coatings

Wood staining, oiling and clear-coat systems.

Doors, floors, ceilings, built-ins and commercial work — stains, sealers and clear topcoats matched to the wood.

Wood Staining & Coatings — AAA Construction Services

Wood coatings aren't one thing. A high-traffic floor gets a different system than a designer ceiling gets, which is different from a restaurant built-in. We match stains, sealers and clear topcoats to the wood and the wear it will see — and we spray it, not brush it, when the job asks for spray.

The right system for the wood

Stains, sealers and clear topcoats each have a place. Interior doors that see hands and dogs want a hard clear coat. A ceiling of tongue-and-groove wants an oil that lets the grain read. A commercial built-in in a restaurant wants a food-safe, heat-resistant coating.

We spec the system before we quote, and we tell you why we picked it.

Commercial work

We coated the wood of the built-in at Cuddlefish restaurant at Perimeter Mall — a commercial fit-out under a designer's spec. Retail, hospitality and restaurant fit-outs are welcome.

/// Questions

Common questions.

Can you match an existing wood tone?+

Yes. We can custom-mix stains to match an existing floor, door or piece of furniture, and we always test on a scrap of the same species first.

Oil or clear topcoat — which should I pick?+

Depends on wear and sheen. A hard clear topcoat is more durable and more consistent. Oil lets the grain read more. We'll walk you through it on the estimate.

Do you do exterior wood?+

Yes — cedar siding, decks and exterior doors get oil-based systems built to handle Georgia sun and humidity.
